Exploration of Canada’s railway history

Grade four students have been studying the history of the Canadian Pacific Railway and the Kettle Valley Railway. To finish up their exploration of Canada’s railway history they took a ride on the Steam train in Summerland which included discussions on the Chinese contribution to the railway and the KVR. The students enjoyed the beautiful weather and the sites along the way.

They ended the afternoon at Summerland Sweets where they were treated to some ice cream and a video on the history of their operation.
