Career Speaker Series

We were delighted to welcome to Legacy Academy Dr. Jarkko Jalava, Professor of Criminology at Okanagan College and Dr. Stephanie Griffiths, Professor of Psychology, as part of our Career Speaker Series. During the session, they engaged students in hypothetical “Solve the Crime” scenarios, giving them valuable insight into the real-world applications of Psychology and Criminology.

The Career Speaker series is to support students in developing the BC Curriculum Core Competencies of Communication, Thinking, and Personal and Social Awareness.

Through interactions with guest speakers from a variety of careers and life pathways, our students will practice effective listening, questioning, and reflection to strengthen their communication skills. Our thanks to Mrs. Cumberland for hosting this series.
