Celebrating Indigenous Culture

A day for students to celebrate indigenous culture. The South Okanagan Similkameen Métis Association was at our school in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. All the students participated in an enriching cultural experience. Cultural exploration stations were set up by SOSMA, where students learned about Métis hunting and trapping, jigging and fiddle music. Students enjoyed delicious Bannock before our closing assembly which featured wonderful dances.
