Celebrating Success

A huge congratulations to all our students who took part in this year's Okanagan Shuswap Regional STEM Fair held at UBC Okanagan!

A special shout out to this year’s award winners:

• Beckham and Thomas got awarded a B.C. hydro book prize for their energy project.

• Claire and Scarlett won a $100 award from the B.C. Science Teacher’s Association for excellent use of the scientific method.

• Daniel won the silver medal in the grade 9/10 bracket.

Prior to the regionals, student projects were judged at Holy Cross on a variety of categories. The top 4 projects were selected for advancement to the regionals based on the scientific rigor of the project as a whole. Other award categories were:

- Best Visual Presentation

- Best Verbal Presentation

- Most original idea

- Student’s Choice Award
