Exploring Outer Space

The grade 7 and 8 classes had a special guest this week via Microsoft Teams as part of our Guest Speaker Program. Canadian astronaut David Saint-Jacques who spent 210 days in space (longer than any other Canadian astronaut). While at the Space Station David did a space walk and orbited Earth more than 3,000 times, traveling over 100 million kilometers. Our multi-talented guest is not only an astronaut and engineer, but also a family doctor.

After his presentation he answered questions and the students learned even more about an astronaut’s life and work.
