Please meet ​​Mrs. Belanger, our music and drama teacher at Holy Cross. ​​Mrs. Belanger, also known as Mrs. B, has worked in the education field for close to thirty years, teaching school, Sunday school, VBS, and numerous children and adult choirs. Her involvement in music started as a young child with piano lessons and singing with her sisters at church. She was a member of the school choir, a hand bell ensemble and a contemporary Christian band. She participated in several recording studio sessions, creating three albums.
Mrs. B obtained a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Music and Canadian History from the University of Manitoba. After spending several years teaching in northern Manitoba, she and her husband followed family members to the warmer climate of BC. For the past seven years at Holy Cross School, Mrs. B has taught music to the elementary grades and more recently, has instructed the drama and textiles classes to the middle school students.
She takes enjoyment in observing the progress the students make in their musical knowledge and abilities each year. God has blessed her with a devoted family who willingly supports her efforts, especially during the Christmas production. Many years ago Mrs. B made a commitment to follow God. Upon reflection, she realizes how He directs her path as she works to serve Him wherever He leads.
