Fostering Environmental Stewardship

Our students enjoyed two fantastic field trips to the Max Lake Conservation Area with OASISS (Okanagan and Similkameen Invasive Species Society). They removed invasive thistle that will result in increased species diversity and improve the habitat for native wildlife. Students also planted a variety of native plants. It was a great opportunity for students to learn about native plant species and have a better understanding of which plants are best suited for rehabilitating our local wetlands.
