Our grade 8 school project has been shortlisted for a Governor General’s Award in History! This series of videos was created by the grade 8 students of HCS. Students created, and wrote monologues as fictional characters from the time. We were given permission from the publishers of Gordon Lightfoot‘s music to use his song in the background. These projects have been shortlisted for a governor general’s award in history the winners will be announced in September. Our students worked very hard on his projects and it was a combination of work across English 8/9, Social Studies 8/9, Drama, Music and Visual Arts.
