Canada’s National History Society has announced this year’s shortlist for the Governor General’s History Awards for Excellence in Teaching. We are delighted to formally announce Mrs. Cumberland as a recipient of recognition for her outstanding contributions to teaching Canadian history. These finalists exemplify best practices in history education, including the creation of engaging learning experiences, the pursuit of historical research and consideration of Indigenous perspectives. The winners will be announced in the fall.
