Regional Math Competition

We wish all the best to our Legacy Academy Math team heading to Kelowna. The team is going to compete in a regional competition called Math Challengers at Okanagan College.

The competition is completed in 4 stages:

• Blitz: 40 minutes to individually complete math questions from a variety of topics.

• Bull’s eye: 3 sessions of questions on a mystery mathematical topic.

• Co-op: The team works together to solve as many questions as possible.

• Face-off: The top 10 scoring individuals move on to a live, buzzer-style math competition.

Trophies and medals will be awarded for excellence within these different stages. The top scoring school will move on to the provincial championship in May. What an opportunity to test themselves beyond the classroom!
