Understanding of Canadian Rail History

The grade four class took a trip on the Summerland Steam Train after their study of the Canadian Pacific Railway and the Kettle Valley Railway. The trip provided students with a unique, hands-on learning experience beyond textbooks, helping them to engage deeply in history and spark their curiosity. They enjoyed their ride on the steam train and the beautiful sites along the way.

Afterwards they headed to Memorial Park for a picnic lunch and some play time. They ended the day at Gigi's Gelato on Main Street, which was a perfect ending to a hot, hot day!
