Regional Math Competition
We wish all the best to our Legacy Academy Math team heading to Kelowna. The team is going to compete in a regional competition called Math Challengers at Okanagan College. The competition is completed in 4 stages: Blitz: 40 minutes to individually complete math questions from a variety of topics. Bull’s eye: 3 sessions of questions on a mystery mathematical topic. Co-op: The team works together to solve as many questions as possible. Face-off: The top 10 scoring individuals

Ash Wednesday
It was wonderful to see the Holy Cross community united for our school Mass today at St. Ann’s. Father Neil celebrated Ash Wednesday, signifying the beginning of Lent. It was a blissful celebration with a heartwarming homily. May this be a time to pray and reflect as we look to the resurrection of Jesus. Holy Cross and St. Carlo Acutis Legacy Academy wish all students and families a blessed Ash Wednesday.

Virtue of the Month
It was great to have the students gather last week at our school Virtues Awards assembly. This month we recognized the virtue of PATIENCE. Congratulations to all the students who were recognized! Brother Jeff and our talented Kindergarten class introduced the virtue of LOVE that will be celebrated this month.

Celebrating Cultural Heritage
As part of grade 9 student Ella’s indigenous studies at SCALA, she chose to learn how to make a Ribbon Skirt which is part of her cultural heritage. Well done! Career Speaker Series
We were delighted to welcome to Legacy Academy Dr. Jarkko Jalava, Professor of Criminology at Okanagan College and Dr. Stephanie Griffiths, Professor of Psychology, as part of our Career Speaker Series. During the session, they engaged students in hypothetical “Solve the Crime” scenarios, giving them valuable insight into the real-world applications of Psychology and Criminology.
