Our Grade 4 and 5 students embarked on a field trip that was kicked off with a picnic downtown in Gyro Park, where the students enjoyed their packed lunches on a beautiful fall day. After the picnic, they made their way to the theater for their own private screening of "The Wild Robot." The students had read this book in class and they were excited to see the book come to life on the big screen.
This heartwarming film, based on the book by Peter Brown, captured the attention of everyone in the room.
The students were captivated by the story of Roz, a robot who learns about friendship and survival in the wild. Gasps of awe and bursts of laughter filled the theater as the plot unfolded. Parents were just as engrossed, sharing in the adventure and emotions of the film.
