Governance and Democracy

During their visit to Victoria and the Provincial legislature, Mrs. Cumberland's class participated in a group photo opportunity with Premier Eby, followed by individual photos in his office. Students then proceeded with a guided tour of the legislature and attended a live Q&A session. Students also had the opportunity to meet the Speaker of the House, the Clerk of the House and the Sergeant at Arms. Following lunch, students played guitar and sang on the steps of the legislature.

The trip included a visit to the Royal BC Museum and the IMAX theatre, followed by the Malahat Skywalk, waterfront dinner and a quick stop to see the legislature lit up. What a wonderful experience!
