Celebrating Advent
Last week we celebrated our School Mass with Father Neil, the Mass was led by our grade 6 students, commemorating Advent and the Christmas season. It was also an opportunity to present Holy Cross School and St. Carlo Acutis Academy with Jubilee Certificates from Rome. This certificate is a testimony of the pilgrim’s spiritual participation in the Jubilee in the Holy Year of 2025. A Conversation with Astronaut Jeremy Hansen
Our students at St. Carlo Acutis Academy were selected as one of 10 exclusive classes across Canada to interact in a LIVE virtual connection with Canadian Space Agency (CSA) astronaut Jeremy Hansen before his Artemis II lunar mission. He will make history by becoming the first Canadian to fly around the Moon. Catechism Formation Program offered at our school is a vibrant pastoral initiative provided by our parishes. Its mission is dedicated to supporting the spiritual growth and faith development of our students that helps them encounter Christ in a meaningful and age-appropriate way. Exploring Wastewater Treatment
Our grade 8 and 9 students took a field trip to Penticton’s Wastewater treatment plant. Students learned how microbes are utilized in our city’s wastewater treatment and the role of chemistry in testing and monitoring the process. The tour leader was very impressed by how many questions our students asked during the presentation. They represented St. Carlo Acutis Legacy Academy wonderfully.

Beyond the Classroom Walls
That’s a wrap! Our students had a blast rock climbing and then went on an exciting museum trip. This term has been full of challenging outdoor activities for our students. Our OE program takes the students outside the classroom for an integrated approach to learning. We want to thank Mrs. Hayden for sharing these moments with us!
