Fostering Environmental Stewardship
Our students enjoyed two fantastic field trips to the Max Lake Conservation Area with OASISS (Okanagan and Similkameen Invasive Species Society). Our grade 7 students had a fun and insightful visit last week at St. Carlo Acutis Legacy Academy. Students had the opportunity to discover the new campus for grade 8 & 9 students and enjoyed time with former Holy Cross schoolmates, who are now enjoying their first years of high school classes!

The Importance of Experiential Learning
Mrs. Hayden's class had a fantastic hike to the Adra Tunnel and Giants Head Mountain! We believe that exposure to natural settings plays a pivotal role in a well-rounded education. Our Hiking/Mapping elective class gives students the opportunity to take part in experiential learning, which complements students’ classroom instruction, challenging them to build confidence and leadership skills.

Celebrating Indigenous Culture
A day for students to celebrate indigenous culture. The South Okanagan Similkameen Métis Association was at our school in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. All the students participated in an enriching cultural experience. Cultural exploration stations were set up by SOSMA, where students learned about Métis hunting and trapping, jigging and fiddle music. Students enjoyed delicious Bannock before our closing assembly which featured wonderful dances
