Virtue of the month: GENEROSITY

Virtues Recognition Program

Virtues recognition has begun now since September. We observe the students in their normal activities in and about the school and staff then identifies those who have shown an exemplary

example(s) of the virtuous actions on which we are focusing. The students will wear a specially designed ribbon and pin for the day as a sign of their being recognized. Our Virtue of the Month for January 2023 is GENEROSITY.

Dear Parents,

At Holy Cross, we teach our students the importance of virtues and further emphasize the teachings with a new virtue each month. The virtue for this month is generosity. “Being generous means giving to another person without expecting anything back in return.”

As part of displaying acts of generosity, the students and staff will participate in a school wide Food Bank collection. The collection of NON PERISHABLE foods items will begin on Monday January 9, 2023 and end on Monday January 30, 2023. All proceeds will be donated to our community’s St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Outreach to help those less fortunate. Please when donating food items, be mindful of expiry or best before dates. Your family’s contribution to the food drive is greatly appreciated as it will not only make a positive difference in our local community, but will also deepen the demonstration of generosity to your child. We thank you in advance for your contributions and are grateful for your support.

Sincerely,

Madame M-L Saina
